We bring to your attention a recipe for a huge pie with boiled beans, spiced minced meat and sauerkraut. This cake will be a great treat for the whole family and guests.
Ingredients for the dough:
- 330 ml of water;
- 2 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- 1 tbsp. l. dry yeast;
- 1 tsp salt;
- 5 tbsp. l. mustard oil;
- 0.5 kg flour.
Ingredients for the filling:
- 150 g beans;
- 0.5 kg of any minced meat;
- 0.3 kg sauerkraut;
- 1 bunch of green onions;
- 1.5 liters of water;
- 2 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
- ½ tsp sweet paprika;
- ½ tsp salt.
Additional ingredients:
- 1 egg yolk;
- 1 tbsp. l. sunflower oil;
- 1 tbsp. l. water.
Preparation:
- Rinse beans, pour into a deep plate, add water and leave overnight.
- In the morning, rinse the beans once more, pour them into a saucepan, add water, boil and discard in a colander in order to remove excess liquid.
- Combine yeast, salt, sugar and lukewarm water in a deep plate. Stir everything with your hand and leave to stand until a frothy cap appears on the surface of the water. Only then add mustard oil, add flour and knead a pliable dough.
- Cover the dough in a plate and place in a warm place for 60 minutes. During this time, it should come up and double in size.
- Meanwhile, wash the green onions and chop finely. Put the minced meat in a bowl and knead it with your hands. Pour some chopped herbs, salt and paprika to it. Mix everything thoroughly with your hands until smooth.
- Sprinkle the table with flour. Put the dough on the flour, knead and divide into two parts. In this case, one part should be larger than the other.
- Roll out a larger piece of dough with a rolling pin into a round cake. Attach the lid from the pan to the cake and cut off the excess dough along the contour of the lid with a knife in order to give the cake the desired shape. Fold the excess pieces of dough into a bag so that they do not get chapped.
- Transfer the round cake to a greased baking sheet.
- Put the prepared minced meat on it in an even layer, and spread the cabbage on top of the minced meat.
- Cover the cabbage with a layer of beans, and the beans with a layer of chopped green onions.
- Roll out and cut the second piece of dough in the same way as the first.
- Sprinkle the filling of the pie with sunflower oil and cover with a second flatbread, pinching the edges of the formed pie.
- Remove the dough cuttings from the bag, turn them into decorations and place on the cake.
- In a cup, combine and mix the yolk, water and oil. Liberally grease the top of the pie with this mixture.
- Send the formed pie to the oven for 60 minutes, preheated to 160-180 degrees.
- After an hour, remove the cake from the oven, cover with a damp towel and leave for 10 minutes. Then remove the towel, decorate the pie with parsley and serve.
