Meringue is a classic French dessert made from egg whites whipped with sugar. It turns out very tasty. Combine meringues and aromatic cherries in one recipe for a great tea party cake!

- - 500 g cherries;
- - 250 g butter;
- - 4 glasses of wheat flour;
- - 4 chicken eggs;
- - 2 glasses of sugar;
- - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice;
- - 1 tsp baking powder;
- - soda, vanilla sugar.
Instructions
Step 1
Separate the yolks from the whites. Put the whites in the refrigerator, beat the yolks with granulated sugar, add flour.
Step 2
Rub the butter on a coarse grater, knead the dough. Quench the soda with lemon juice, add vanilla sugar. Knead well, adding flour in portions. Put the finished dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Step 3
Place the cooled dough on baking paper and roll out into a thin layer. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet, shape the sides, put the pitted cherries on top, distribute them evenly, put in the oven for 15 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the finished cake from the oven. Beat the egg whites, distribute over the cherries, and put back in the oven. The squirrels should turn soft beige. The cherry and meringue pie is ready, cut into portions while hot.
