Mackerel is a wonderful fish. It is not so expensive, and the dishes from it are very tasty. If you have not tried mackerel kebab, then it's time to cook it on the grill.

It is necessary

  • - 4 mackerels,
  • - 8 cloves of garlic,
  • - 4 tbsp. tablespoons of lemon juice
  • - 5 tbsp. spoons of odorless vegetable or sunflower oil,
  • - 1 tbsp. a spoonful of sugar
  • - salt and black pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Peel the mackerel from the entrails, rinse well, leave it whole. Cut the fish into slices if desired.

Step 2

In order to bake fish on the grill, you need to prepare a marinade. Wash the lemons and squeeze 4 tbsp. spoons of juice. Chop the garlic cloves in any convenient way (you can take more garlic - to taste). Combine the garlic with lemon juice, vegetable oil, sugar, salt and black pepper. Grate the fish with the resulting marinade. If you cut the mackerel into pieces, place it in the marinade and stir. Leave the fish to marinate for two hours.

Step 3

Prepare the coals after two hours. Take out the mackerel and carefully slide it over the skewer (as shown in the photo). If the mackerel is in pieces, then bake it on the wire rack. If desired, pieces of fish can be fried on skewers - as it is more convenient for anyone.

Step 4

Cook fish over charcoal for ten minutes. Serve over a large platter. Garnish the kebab with fresh herbs and lemon rings before serving.
