Do you want to cook something tasty and unusual? Then I suggest you bake Scottish Lavender Cookies. This delicacy will surely amaze you with its original taste and aroma.
It is necessary
- - butter - 230 g;
- - flour - 400 g;
- - icing sugar - 100 g;
- - vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon;
- - honey - 2 tablespoons;
- - dried lavender - 1-2 tablespoons;
- - sugar - 2-3 tablespoons.
Instructions
Step 1
Remove the butter from the refrigerator. It should sit at room temperature until it softens.
Step 2
Add powdered sugar to the melted butter. Transfer the resulting mixture to a glass container. Beat it until it turns into a soft fluffy mass. Then add vanilla extract, dried lavender and honey to it. It is best to use liquid honey for these cookies. Mix everything thoroughly until smooth.
Step 3
Wheat flour, passing several times through a sieve, add to the main mixture. Mix everything thoroughly until you get a mass with a homogeneous consistency. Thus, you will have a dough for the future Scottish biscuits. Dividing it into 2 equal parts, form each in the form of a block and wrap with cling film. As it is, place the dough in the cold for about 60 minutes.
Step 4
After an hour, remove the dough from the refrigerator and remove the cling film from it. Roll the frozen cubes on all sides in granulated sugar, then cut into small pieces, the thickness of which is 5 millimeters.
Step 5
Put baking paper, that is, parchment, in a baking dish, and place the pieces cut from the dough on it so that there is a small distance between them.
Step 6
In the oven, after heating it to a temperature of 150 degrees, send dough circles to bake until fully cooked. Be guided by your oven. Cool the finished baked goods, then serve. Your Scottish Lavender Cookies are done!
