Chicken breast rolls look very festive, they can be prepared for a holiday, or you can diversify an ordinary family dinner with such an original appetizer. Rolls are prepared in half an hour.

It is necessary

  • - 4 boneless chicken breasts;
  • - 8 strips of bacon;
  • - 100 g of gouda cheese;
  • - 3 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil;
  • - a few sprigs of basil;
  • - half of sweet bell pepper;
  • - black pepper, salt.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the chicken fillets and pat dry on paper towels. Place on a board between two layers of cling film. Beat off the breasts until they are about 1 centimeter thick. Season with pepper and salt to taste.

Step 2

Separate the leaves of fresh basil from the stems, cut the Gouda cheese into thick cubes, the bell pepper into strips. Do not forget to pre-clean the pepper from seeds, it is advisable to cut off the white partitions too.

Step 3

Put basil leaves, cheese and bell pepper on the prepared chicken fillet, roll quite dense rolls. Wrap each roll with strips of bacon, fasten with wooden toothpicks.

Step 4

Heat a small amount of olive oil in a skillet, fry the rolls over high heat on all sides. Then reduce the heat under the skillet and cook for 15 minutes, turning the chicken breast rolls with gouda and basil from time to time. The rolls should not burn.

Step 5

Before serving, remove the toothpicks, cut the rolls into 3 cm thick pieces. Serve as a snack or with a light side dish like boiled rice or potatoes.
