Small, oval or round dumplings made in Italy are called gnocchi. They can be boiled or baked, and are usually cooked using cheese, potatoes, pumpkin, spinach, or different varieties of flour. You can serve gnocchi with a variety of sauces.
It is necessary
- For gnocchi:
- - 1 kg of potatoes;
- - an egg;
- - 260 gr. flour;
- - a teaspoon of salt.
- For the sauce:
- - 250 gr. champignons;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - a small onion;
- - 30 gr. butter;
- - 50 gr. bacon;
- - 15 gr. chopped parsley;
- - 200 ml of cream;
- - 80 ml of mushroom broth;
- - pepper and salt.
Instructions
Step 1
The potatoes must be washed and boiled in their uniforms.
Step 2
Peel the cooled potatoes, chop with a fork until mashed. Add flour, eggs and salt.
Step 3
Knead a homogeneous dough.
Step 4
Roll out the sausage from the dough and cut it into pieces.
Step 5
Boil the gnocchi in boiling salted water. As soon as they come up, they can be taken out. To prevent the gnocchi from sticking together, you can sprinkle them with olive oil and gently mix together.

For the butter sauce, fry the chopped onion and chopped garlic.
Step 7
Add champignons, cut into wedges and parsley. Fry for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add pieces of bacon, fry for 3-5 minutes.
Step 8
Pour in the cream, stir, simmer for 5 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste.
Step 9
Put the newcakes on a plate and pour over with delicious sauce. Serve hot.
