Beef is cooked in different ways: fried, boiled, stewed, baked. An unusual recipe for cooking beef in a sweet-sour glaze made of honey and lemon will become the centerpiece of the table, both on holidays and on weekdays.
It is necessary
- - Salted beef pulp (1 kg);
- - Bay leaves (2-3 pcs);
- - Onions (1 pc);
- - Cloves (8 sticks);
- - Carrots (2 pcs);
- - Lime juice (40-50 ml);
- - Sugar (100 g);
- - Ground cinnamon and cloves (1/2 tsp each);
- - Mustard powder and chalk (1 tbsp. L.).
Instructions
Step 1
Soak the beef overnight beforehand. To do this, put carrots, onions, whole sticks of cloves, bay leaves in a deep baking dish, and beef pulp on top.
Step 2
At the end of the night, pour water into the mold with meat. Cook over low heat for about 2-3 hours, until the meat is tender. Leave the mold until the meat cools.
Step 3
If the oven is gas, then it should be heated up to 160 C, if the oven is electric - up to 180 C. Transfer the boiled meat to a baking sheet (without broth).
Step 4
For the glaze, combine lime juice, cinnamon, brown sugar, mustard powder, honey and cloves. Pour the resulting mixture over the meat and put the baking sheet in a preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, until a glossy golden crust appears on the beef. Periodically, the meat should be sprinkled with sauce during baking.
Step 5
Put the finished meat on a plate, cut into slices, wedges, circles and garnish with parsley. It is better to use stewed vegetables or boiled potatoes as a side dish.
