Bananas with honey are an extremely tasty and immensely healthy treat. The flavor combination of honey and banana is simply delicious, and the oranges used in the dish will dilute the sweetness with sourness.
Ingredients:
- Large ripe bananas - 4 pcs;
- Large orange - 1 pc;
- Low-fat cream - 200 g;
- Butter 100 g;
- Honey (it is better to take flower) - 100 g;
- Walnuts - 12 pcs;
- Ground ginger - ¼ tsp
Preparation:
- To make this dessert, you need to wash the orange and grate its zest into a plate. Squeeze all the juice from the orange fruit itself.
- Then whip the cream and add the grated orange zest to it. Place the creamy orange mixture in the refrigerator.
- Now peel the large bananas and cut them in half lengthwise.
- Next, you need to prepare the sauce in which the bananas will be cooked. To do this, melt the butter in a large skillet. Add flower honey and about two tablespoons of freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Put the honey-orange mixture on a low heat and cook, stirring occasionally, until the honey melts. It should mix well. Add 2 more tablespoons of the remaining orange juice and sprinkle with ground ginger.
- Put the bananas, cut side down, in the honey-orange sauce. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 10 minutes, with no lid on. During the cooking process, pour the prepared sauce over the bananas from time to time.
- Now you need to transfer the prepared bananas to a serving dish and pour the sauce remaining in the pan.
- Peel the walnuts and chop them well with a large knife. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the bananas drenched in sauce.
- Serve honey bananas warm, serve cream with grated zest for dessert in a saucepan, which will have time to cool down by this time.
