Decorated with glaze, gingerbread cookies with a heady honey taste can serve as both a decoration for your table and a wonderful gift!
It is necessary
- - 2, 5 tsp butter;
- - 4 tablespoons natural honey;
- - 10 tbsp. wheat flour;
- - 1 small yolk;
- - 1 small egg;
- - a pinch of salt, baking powder, nutmeg, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves;
- - 3 tbsp. sugar + 2 tsp. for glaze;
- - 2 tsp lemon juice.
Instructions
Step 1
Put butter in a small saucepan, send 4 tablespoons of honey there and melt. Stir until smooth.
Step 2
Heat a small skillet over high heat. Pour sugar into it (2 full tablespoons) and wait until it turns dark brown. Add the resulting caramel to a saucepan to the honey-oil mixture and mix thoroughly.
Step 3
Allow to cool slightly. While the contents of the saucepan are cooling, grind a small egg and a small yolk with a mixer with the remaining sugar (a full tablespoon) until it dissolves and the mass whitens. Add to the caramel mixture.
Step 4
Add a pinch of all the gingerbread spices there. It's great if you have a ready-made spice mixture - add half a teaspoon.
Step 5
Start adding flour and baking powder a little at a time, kneading the tough dough. Mix it thoroughly.
Step 6
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and prepare the baking sheet by covering it with baking paper. Form the gingerbread cookies, put on a baking sheet and send to the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.
Step 7
In the meantime, prepare the frosting. For this, 2 tsp. mix sugar with 2 tsp. water and 2 tsp. lemon juice in a small saucepan. Cook until thick. Glaze the gingerbread cookies, cool and serve!
