Triangular patties stuffed with chicken and vegetables, with a touch of garlic, chili and ginger - a typical African dish. Lemon juice softens the pungent taste. The patties are baked in the oven until crisp.
It is necessary
- - half a chicken;
- - 300 g of puff pastry (can be frozen);
- - 1 small carrot;
- - 1 small vegetable marrow;
- - 1 PC. onions;
- - 2 cloves of garlic;
- - 3 stalks of green garlic;
- - 1 fresh green chili;
- - 1 piece of fresh ginger 2-3 cm;
- - 7 tbsp. tablespoons of vegetable oil (preferably peanut oil);
- - half a lemon;
- - salt and pepper to taste.
- You will also need: a knife, a cutting board, a ladle, a grater, dishes for baking in the oven, a blender, a saucepan, a juicer, and paper for baking in the oven.
Instructions
Step 1
Peel the carrots and cut into 2 cm pieces. Without peeling, cut 1 zucchini into the same pieces.
Step 2
Boil water in a ladle. Add carrots and zucchini there and cook for 10 minutes. Then cool and chop the vegetables finely.
Step 3
Peel the onions and chop finely too. Set aside until ready for use.
Step 4
Peel and finely chop 2 garlic cloves and 3 green garlic stalks.
Step 5
Wash the chili, peel it, peel it and chop it as well. Peel a piece of fresh ginger and grate (you will need 1 teaspoon of grated ginger).
Step 6
Place half of the chicken in a fireproof dish. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, drizzle with 3 tablespoons of peanut butter.
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 200C and place the chicken dish in it. Bake for about 25 minutes until tender. Remove the dish from the oven and let cool completely.
Step 8
Remove bones from meat and skin. Grind the chicken in a blender.
Step 9
Saute the onions in a saucepan with 3 tablespoons of peanut butter over medium heat for 10 minutes.
Step 10
Add chopped meat, carrots, and zucchini to the onions. Stir and cook for 2 minutes over moderate heat.

Add chopped garlic, ginger and chili. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook over moderate heat for another 10 minutes.

Squeeze out the juice of half a lemon. You only need 1 tablespoon. Pour the juice into a saucepan along with the green garlic. Stir and remove from heat.

Cut 300 grams of puff pastry into strips 20 cm long and 10 cm wide.

Place 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of one of the edges of the dough. Fold the edge over the filling to form a triangle. Shape the rest of the patties in the same way.
Step 15
Place a piece of baking paper on a serving dish and spread out the patties. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C and place the dish in it. Cook for 20 minutes.
