It is necessary

    • For the basics:
    • head of cabbage;
    • vegetable oil.
    • For filling:
    • meat;
    • onion;
    • carrot;
    • parsley;
    • dill greens;
    • ground black pepper;
    • salt.
    • For the sauce:
    • butter;
    • flour;
    • meat broth;
    • sour cream.

Instructions

Step 1

Take one head of cabbage and remove any large browned and bruised leaves from it. Trim the base of the head of cabbage so that it can stand flat on the work surface. Using a sharp knife, cut off one third of the cabbage and carefully cut the entire middle in a circle, leaving the sides no more than two centimeters wide.

Step 2

Prepare the filling. To do this, rinse and dry 400 grams of meat. You can use pork, beef or several types of meat - this will not affect the result. Pass the meat through a meat grinder. Peel and cut two onions into medium cubes. Grate one peeled carrot. You can also add other ingredients to your liking, such as bell peppers, mushrooms or rice.

Step 3

Chop 50 grams of parsley and dill. Combine minced meat, carrots, onions and herbs, season with black pepper and salt to taste. For a spicy, flavorful filling, use herbs such as thyme, savory, and marjoram. Garlic squeezed through a press will make it more acute. Stuff the cabbage with the mixture.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 160 ° C, grease a baking sheet and place a head of cabbage on it. Sprinkle the cabbage with vegetable oil on all sides and bake until lightly browned. This usually takes a little over half an hour.

Step 5

Prepare the sauce while baking the cabbage. To do this, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet and add one tablespoon of wheat flour. Heat the flour, stirring constantly and breaking the lumps. Pour in one glass of hot broth in a thin stream. Bring the sauce to a boil and cook over low heat for a few minutes. It should thicken a little. Add 4 tablespoons sour cream, stir and turn off heat.

Step 6

Remove the stuffed cabbage from the oven, transfer to a round dish and pour over the prepared sauce.
