    • 200g arborio rice;
    • 100g champignons;
    • 0.5 l of meat broth;
    • 1 carrot;
    • 2 tomatoes;
    • 1 bell pepper;
    • 1 head of onion;
    • 1 tsp turmeric;
    • salt.

Instructions

Step 1

To prepare the national Italian dish risotto, first prepare two hundred grams of arborio rice and cook half a liter of meat broth. Also make sure you have one hundred grams of fresh mushrooms, two tomatoes, one carrot, and one bell peppers and onions on your kitchen table. Be sure to prepare some vegetable oil, a teaspoon of turmeric, and some herbs for garnish.

Step 2

Cut the bell pepper into small cubes, then cut the carrots and finely chop the onion head. Take a deep skillet with thick sides, pour vegetable oil on the bottom and lay out the chopped vegetables. Saute them over low heat for five minutes.

Step 3

Rice must be rinsed in advance under running water several times and allowed to dry. As soon as the rice is dry, place it on top of the previously fried vegetables and cover with warm broth. Stir the vegetables and rice frequently and cook over medium heat for fifteen minutes. Remove the cooked rice and vegetables from the stove and season with a teaspoon of turmeric, then sprinkle with pepper and salt to taste.

Step 4

To prepare the sauce, take the champignons, peel and rinse them thoroughly, then chop finely. Fry the mushrooms in a hot skillet with oil for five minutes, then add finely chopped tomatoes, pepper and salt to taste. Simmer all this over medium heat for the same five minutes, stirring gently. The sauce should simmer for a couple of minutes over low heat in a frying pan, and then it must be removed from the stove.

Step 5

Place the cooked and seasoned rice in a heap in a deep plate or on a wide dish, the bottom can be laid out with fresh lettuce leaves, top with hot sauce.
