Summer is an amazing fruit time, during which a person is recommended to fully saturate his diet with a variety of berries and fruits, so that the body stocks up for the winter with all the useful and necessary vitamins. And yet there are many secrets that will help preserve vitamins for the winter.
Today, you can easily save all the useful trace elements in the bank. One of the most common types of winter preparations is fruit puree. There are several recipes for winter fruit puree.
How to prepare berry and apricot puree
Ingredients:
- apricots - at the discretion;
- currants - at the discretion;
- water - 80-100 ml.
Wash the apricots and currants, remove the seeds from them and put them in a container (saucepan), add a little water. Simmer over low heat until a soft, fruity consistency is obtained. Chill the apricots and currants, then whisk the fruits and berries with a blender until puree. Bring the whipped fruits and berries to a boil, place in sterilized jars and close the lids.
How to make pear puree
Ingredients:
- pears - at the discretion;
- citric acid - 1 tsp for 1, 5 buckets of pears.
Go through and thoroughly wash the pears, let the water drain. Then, remove the cores of the pears with a knife. Process all fruits with a meat grinder or juicer. Rub the resulting mixture through a sieve into a saucepan. Put the mashed potatoes on fire and bring to a boil. Cool the fruit puree and place in previously prepared sterilized jars.
How to make applesauce
Ingredients:
- sweet apples;
- water - 80-100 ml.
Wash the apples thoroughly. Remove the cores and cut into wedges. Place in a saucepan, cover with water. Place the container on the stove and simmer until the apples are soft. Then whisk them with a blender until a smooth mixture is obtained. Bring the puree to a boil. Without cooling, arrange in jars.

To properly prepare containers for storing mashed potatoes, wash the jars thoroughly, then sterilize each for two minutes, process the seaming lids in boiling water.
An additional component of mashed potatoes, currants, can be replaced with any other available berry, for example, gooseberries. Sugar can be added to homemade fruit puree during the blending stage if it doesn't overwhelm your taste.
Cover the container with a lid before placing the saucepan over medium heat. To avoid burning the fruit and berry puree, do not forget to stir it regularly. It is better to preserve puree in small jars so that it is enough for one time and you do not have to throw out the leftovers.
