Traditional Czech cuisine includes a variety of dishes: juicy hot meat, healthy soups, and hearty sweet desserts. The most favorite dish of the Czechs is goose baked with red cabbage.

Step 1
In a bowl, combine half the honey, a third of the finely chopped ginger root, white wine, and spices. Mix thoroughly.
Step 2
Rinse the goose well and brush with the resulting mixture and salt. Preheat oven to 200C and place the goose in it. Place a baking sheet with water under the wire shelf. After 20 minutes, reduce the temperature to 160 ° C and roast the goose for about 2 hours.
Step 3
Rinse the cabbage, chop, add grated carrots, salt, sugar and vinegar. Squeeze and marinate for 20 minutes. Then simmer for about 15 minutes. Add red wine, and after another 10 minutes, pour in white wine. Add the remaining honey and ginger before braising.
Step 4
Take out the goose, transfer to a dish. Spread stewed vegetables around it and garnish with herbs.
