This fresh and slightly unusual salad is especially good with aromatic ripe tomatoes and peaches from our own dacha!
It is necessary
- For 2 servings:
- - 1 peach;
- - 2 small tomatoes;
- - 3 slices of rye bread or baguette;
- - a bunch of fresh lettuce leaves;
- - 1 tbsp. olive oil;
- - 1 tbsp. lemon juice;
- - 1 tbsp. butter.
Instructions
Step 1
Chop the bread into cubes. Dissolve a little butter (1 tablespoon) in a skillet and place the cubes in it. Fry over medium heat until golden brown. You can also cook croutons in the oven by sprinkling them with melted butter, if you prefer. Remember to season the croutons with salt and pepper, but don't make them too spicy.
Step 2
Cut the tomatoes into slices and remove the seeds with the liquid part. Wash the peach, cut it in two, remove the stone and cut into thin slices.
Step 3
Wash the lettuce leaves, dry them and tear them into pieces with your hands. Put in a salad bowl, put a layer of prepared tomatoes on top, lightly salt and pepper, add cooled croutons and mix. Add the chopped peaches last, pour the lemon juice and olive oil mixture over the contents of the salad bowl, stir quickly and serve immediately!
