Unlike many high-calorie dishes, Greek salad is prepared only from fresh vegetables and seasoned with aromatic olive oil. Its spectacular appearance will decorate the table. It is necessary

  • - cherry tomatoes - 8 pcs.;
  • - fresh cucumbers of medium size - 2 pcs.;
  • - red onion - 1 pc.;
  • - Greek Feta cheese - 100 g;
  • - pitted olives - 4-5 pcs.;
  • - olive oil - 20 g;
  • - lemon - 0.5 pcs.;
  • - lettuce leaves - 2-3 pcs.;
  • - ground black pepper.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse cherry tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce under running water and dry. A feature of the salad is that all the main ingredients are cut into large pieces, similar in size to each other. But since we're using small tomatoes, just split them in half. Instead of cherry, you can also take 2-3 pieces of ordinary tomatoes. In this case, cut them into 6-8 pieces.

Step 2

Chop the cucumbers into cubes with a side of at least 2 cm. And cut the Feta cheese into similar cubic pieces. Peel the red onion, rinse it and cut into thin half rings. Cut the olives into round slices.

Step 3

Now let's prepare the salad dressing. To do this, squeeze the juice into a small bowl from half a lemon. If bones accidentally fall into it, they will need to be removed. Add olive oil and black pepper to taste to the juice. Whisk lightly with a fork.

Step 4

Place the chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, olives and cheese in a large bowl, add the dressing and stir well. Coarsely chop the lettuce leaves if desired and add to the bowl. Transfer it to a salad bowl and serve.
