As a rule, cakes are prepared only on holidays, because this is a very laborious process. But sometimes, even on a normal day, you want to pamper yourself and your family with something tasty. For this case, there are lightweight dessert recipes, for example, vanilla strawberry cake. It is not difficult to cook it, but it will take time for the baked goods to infuse.

It is necessary

  • For the cake:
  • - frozen puff pastry 200 g
  • - flour 100 g
  • - milk 170 ml
  • - butter 50 g
  • - salt to taste
  • - eggs 3 pcs.
  • For filling:
  • - gelatin 20-25 g
  • - vanilla sugar 1 sachet
  • - cream 600 ml
  • - sour cream 350 g
  • - strawberries 250 g

Instructions

Step 1

Defrost the puff pastry completely. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and bake until tender in a rectangular baking sheet.

Step 2

For choux pastry, sift the flour into a bowl. Boil the milk in a cup, add a pinch of salt, cut butter into pieces, and immediately add flour. All ingredients must be stirred continuously until the dough is lagging behind the walls.

Step 3

Remove the cup from the heat, let it cool slightly and gradually introduce the eggs, continuing to stir well.

Step 4

When everything is ready, put the dough in a pastry bag and squeeze the roses onto a baking sheet. Bake until tender.

Step 5

To prepare a creamy soufflé, dissolve gelatin in 100 ml of boiled water and add a mixture of whipped cream, vanilla sugar and sour cream.

Step 6

Wash the strawberries well, cut into 4 pieces and add the berries to the soufflé.

Step 7

We start to shape the cake. Put the puff pastry crust on a flat dish. Gently spread 2/3 of the soufflé on it, giving the cake a shape. Distribute the choux pastry roses on the top of the dessert and cover them with the remaining soufflé. We put the pastries in the refrigerator for 8 hours.

Decorate the finished cake with the remaining strawberries and cream.
