Instructions

Step 1

First, take two eggs and break them into a deep bowl. Add a pinch of salt to the eggs and begin to beat with a mixer. Beat the eggs at first at low speed, gradually increasing the mixer speed to maximum. Beat until the mass doubles.

Step 2

Then add powdered sugar, vanilla essence (by the way, you can replace it with vanilla or vanilla sugar), sunflower oil and milk to the resulting egg mass. We continue to beat everything with a mixer until an air mass with bubbles forms.

Step 3

Next, sift the flour, mix it with baking powder and add to a bowl of eggs. Knead everything thoroughly with a whisk until smooth. The dough is ready.

Now pour half of the dough into a rectangular shape (it should be about 20 cm), which was previously covered with parchment paper. Gently align the entire mass in shape and put it to bake in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes. This will be the first layer of the cake. When the cake is baked, it must be allowed to cool.

Step 5

In the meantime, let's start with the curd filling for our pie. To do this, mix cottage cheese with eggs, sugar and orange peel. Beat the mixture very well with a mixer so that the filling is fluffy and airy.

Step 6

We transfer the prepared curd mass to the ready-made and slightly cooled cake and level the curd over the entire surface with an even layer. Pour the remaining dough over the cottage cheese, level it over the surface again and send the cake with cottage cheese to the oven for another 25 minutes.

Step 7

A tender curd cake is ready, sprinkle it with powdered sugar and leave it to rest and cool down a bit, and then cut it into pieces and serve.
