Pisto is a Spanish stew made from vegetables. In Spain, pisto is usually served with scrambled eggs. Perfect as a side dish for meat dishes. Can be used as a stand-alone snack. Another pisto, if desired, can be used as a filling for pies.
It is necessary
- - 1 zucchini;
- - 2 bell peppers;
- - 5 mushrooms;
- - 4 tomatoes;
- - 1 carrot;
- - 1 onion;
- - 50 ml of vegetable oil.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the vegetables for the pisto. Peel the onions, carrots and zucchini. Take fresh champignons, frozen ones are not suitable for this recipe.
Step 2
Cut all stew ingredients into medium sized pieces.
Step 3
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan, fry chopped onions on it.
Step 4
Add mushrooms to the onion, pepper, salt. You can add dried garlic or your favorite spice.
Step 5
Then add the carrots to the pan, simmer together for 5 minutes.
Step 6
Add the courgettes. It is better to cut them into cubes. Pour in 50 ml of water, simmer for 10 minutes under the lid.
Step 7
Add bell peppers, simmer for another 5 minutes.
Step 8
Tomatoes are added last. Stir everything, simmer for 5-10 minutes.
Step 9
Place the finished stew in a separate dish or on top of a previously cooked side dish, such as boiled rice or buckwheat.
