This dessert can be made from almost any fruit and vegetable! But candied carrots will definitely not leave you indifferent.

- - 1 kg of carrots;
- - 1 kg of sugar;
- - icing sugar;
- - half a teaspoon of citric acid;
- - a teaspoon of vanilla or ginger.
Instructions
Step 1
For candied fruits, use bright orange carrots. Wash the roots well, peel and then cut into cubes or strips. But keep in mind that the pieces will decrease several times, so you should not cut it too small.
Step 2
Pour the future candied fruits with boiling water, cook for a few minutes, and then drain the water. Mix 1 glass of carrot broth, sugar, citric acid and boil the syrup.
Step 3
Pour the syrup over the blanched carrots and cook over low heat until the liquid becomes clear and thick, like honey. For flavor, you can add ginger or vanillin before cooking.
Step 4
Remove the carrot pieces from the syrup, place on a sheet of foil and dry in a dark place at room temperature. Sprinkle candied fruits with icing sugar and put in boxes, store at room conditions. Enjoy your tea!
