Instructions
Cut off the bottom and top of the pineapple so that no traces of hard scales from the peel remain on the pulp.
Put the pineapple on the bottom on a cutting board and cut the peel in even slices with a sharp knife from top to bottom.
Cut the pineapple in half and place the halves, slices down, on a cutting board.
Remove the remnants of scales from the pulp from the pineapple, making shallow cuts on it with a knife at different angles.
Cut each pineapple half lengthwise into two parts. It is advisable to cut off the core of the pineapple. It is quite tough and does not always taste good.
After that, cut each quarter of pineapple across into slices about 1 cm thick.
When buying pineapple, pay attention to its smell and skin condition.
It should be nice and sweet. A pungent smell with sourness indicates the beginning of fermentation processes in the pineapple pulp. The pineapple skin should be firm, but not too hard.
Pineapple contains enzymes that are very useful for digestion. Therefore, you can safely eat a little pineapple after a heavy meal, it contributes to the rapid breakdown of proteins.
