  • - 70 g of potato starch.

Instructions

Step 1

Prepare berries for future homemade jelly. Place the black currants, cranberries and lingonberries in a colander and rinse thoroughly under cool running water. By the way, for the preparation of jelly, you can use both fresh berries and frozen ones. If you decide to take frozen berries, then let them stand for half an hour at room temperature.

Step 2

Rub the berries through a sieve or fine-mesh colander. Set aside the resulting juice, and pour the squeezes with three liters of boiling water and put on medium heat, cook for twenty minutes. Cool the broth and strain it, squeeze the berry cake and discard, you won't need it anymore. Drain the glass of the broth and set aside, put the rest on the fire again until it boils. Add granulated sugar gradually.

Step 3

Now you need to thicken the jelly. To do this, take three tablespoons of potato starch and dilute it with a glass of the broth set aside earlier. Stir the mixture thoroughly until smooth so that there are no lumps. The starch should be mixed evenly.

Step 4

Slowly pour the squeezed juice from the berries into the boiled broth, let it boil again. Then pour in the diluted potato starch in a thin stream, stir the jelly constantly with a wooden spoon. Boil the jelly for another five minutes and remove from heat. Let it cool slightly and place in a glass or pretty dish. But drinking berry jelly cold or hot is up to you.
