It is necessary

  • For eight servings:
  • - 1.5 kg of sour apples;
  • - 1 glass of non-fast rolled oats;
  • 1/2 cup regular sugar
  • - 3/4 cup flour + 2 tbsp. spoons to apples;
  • 3/3 cup brown sugar
  • - 3/4 cup nuts;
  • - 100 g of cold butter;
  • - 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.

Instructions

Step 1

Wash 1.5 kg of sour apples, remove the cores from them, cut into thin slices. Mix apples with sugar, cinnamon and 2 tablespoons of flour. Place in a fireproof dish and flatten the first layer of the casserole.

Step 2

Separately mix the rolled oats with brown sugar, butter chunks and flour. No need to use the quick-brewed rolled oats for this recipe. It is better not to replace brown sugar with regular sugar, as it will give the casserole a pleasant caramel flavor.

Step 3

Rub the oatmeal mixture with your fingers until the butter pieces dissolve, add the ground nuts (you can use any nuts you like). Spread the mixture evenly over the apples. Place the dish in the oven.

Step 4

Cook the apple casserole at 180 degrees for 45-60 minutes. Make sure the casserole is cooked - the apples should be soft and the top of the dish should be golden brown.

Step 5

Apple casserole with rolled oats is served both hot and cold. It is moderately sweet, so it can serve as breakfast or lunch. There is no need to decorate the casserole.
