It is necessary

  • - 1 chicken, weighing approximately 1.5 kg;
  • - 1 glass of flour;
  • - 1 glass of vegetable, refined oil;
  • - 3 cloves of garlic;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt.

Instructions

Step 1

First, rinse the chicken thoroughly and cut into eight equal pieces with a knife. If the chicken was frozen, defrost it first. Then place the meat in a strainer or colander and rinse with cold water. Wait for the water to drain and then blot each chicken piece with a paper towel. Keep in mind that the skin of the chicken must be dry to obtain a golden brown crust.

Step 2

Next, rub each piece of chicken with salt and black pepper. You can limit yourself to a standard set of spices. If you wish, you can add any other seasoning - a mixture of curry, oregano, chili, paprika, etc. works well. Sprinkle the spices evenly over the chicken meat so that each bite can be saturated with them. Let it brew for at least five minutes.

Step 3

Now pour a glass of flour into a bowl and spread it over the surface. Dip each piece of chicken in flour so that the flour covers the meat on all sides. The flour will give the chicken a nice golden hue.

Step 4

Pour vegetable oil (preferably refined) into the pan so that it completely covers the bottom of the pan and also rises about one and a half centimeters above the bottom. Pre-heat the pan well so that the oil practically boils. Try sprinkling a pinch of flour into the pan if the oil sizzles, which means the pan is hot enough.

Step 5

Place the chicken in the skillet. Fry it over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Do not cover the pan with a lid, otherwise it will not be crispy. After 15 minutes, turn the chicken over and continue frying on the other side for another 15 minutes. Check the meat periodically during frying to make sure it doesn't burn. If you notice this is starting to happen, turn down the heat and turn the chicken over to the other side. Turn it over after a few minutes.

Step 6

After the chicken has cooked for 30 minutes, peel the garlic and crush it with a garlic cutter, or use a knife and chop finely. Place the garlic on top of each chicken piece. Cover the skillet with a lid, reduce heat and leave for 5 minutes.

Step 7

Then open the lid and turn the chicken over with the garlic side down. Cover and let sit for another 3 minutes. The fried chicken is ready. It can be served with any side dish: potatoes, rice, buckwheat, pasta or vegetables.
