Fried chicken is a popular dish. With a crispy crust and tender juicy meat, the chicken tastes good on its own and with a side dish. In addition, to fry it deliciously in a pan, no special culinary skills are required.
It is necessary
-
- - 1 medium chicken;
- - 3 cloves of garlic;
- - 1 teaspoon of ground black pepper;
- - 5 tbsp. tablespoons of sunflower oil for frying;
- - salt to taste.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse defrosted chicken in cool running water. Remove entrails, excess fat and cut into small portions. Place the bird in a colander and let the water drain, then pat dry with a paper towel. The chicken should not be wet, otherwise it will not be crispy when frying. Rub each piece with a mixture of black pepper and salt. Leave the chicken to soak in the spices for about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Put the skillet on fire and heat it up. Then pour in refined sunflower oil. You will need a little of it, as the chicken will release juice and fat during frying. When the oil boils, lay the prepared pieces skin side up. Reduce heat to medium and cook for about 15 minutes. Please note that you do not need to cover the pan with a lid.
Step 3
Turn the chicken pieces over to the other side and fry them again for 15 to 20 minutes without covering the dish with a lid. Use a spatula to lift the chicken pieces periodically. If you notice that they have started to burn, then turn down the heat.
Step 4
Peel 3 garlic cloves. Chop the garlic finely with a knife or pass through a garlic press. The chicken is fried on average for about half an hour. Check the readiness of the dish by piercing a piece with a toothpick - a colorless transparent liquid should flow from the puncture site. Turn the chicken over again, skin side up. Place garlic on top of each piece. Add vegetable oil if necessary. Cover the pan with a lid, reduce heat to low and leave the meat for 3 to 5 minutes.
Step 5
Flip each piece with the garlic side to the bottom of the skillet, cover and simmer the chicken for another 3 minutes. Then remove the lid, turn the slices over with the appetizing golden-crust side up and serve. Serve as a side dish with mashed potatoes, fresh, pickled or fried vegetables, pasta, rice. Pour the juice over the chicken pieces and garnish with herbs.
