It is necessary

  • - 7 slices of square wheat bread
  • - 3 chicken eggs
  • - 300 ml of milk
  • - 4 tbsp. spoons (with a slide) of raisins
  • - 2 tbsp. spoons + 2 large pinches of sugar
  • - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla sugar
  • - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • - 2 pinches of lemon or orange zest
  • - a small piece of butter

Instructions

Step 1

Remove a piece of butter from the refrigerator, soften to room temperature. Lightly brush the slices of bread with butter, then cut them in half diagonally to form triangles. Pour the bread into a fireproof ceramic pan (one large pan can be used).

Step 2

Rinse and dry the raisins thoroughly. Rub the zest over a lemon or orange. Sprinkle zest and raisins on the bread.

Milk, eggs and 2 tbsp. Beat tablespoons of sugar with a whisk until smooth, add vanilla sugar and stir. Pour the mixture into a glass with a spout (for example, a measuring one) and gently add the milk and egg mixture to the bread.

Sprinkle with sugar (two pinches) and ground cinnamon on top. Leave the pudding on for a while to soak the bread with milk.

Pour half of the hot water into a baking sheet with high sides, place the molds there and bake in the oven in a water bath at 180C for 40 minutes. It is advisable to do this on the bottom shelf so that the raisins do not burn.
