Food cooked in a water bath is much healthier than food made in a pan. Indeed, thanks to such heat treatment, useful substances are preserved in food. It is also convenient to heat food in a water bath - you can do without sunflower oil - this is especially important for those who want to lose weight. Also, lunch will preserve all the vitamins it contains.

It is necessary

two pots of different sizes

Instructions

Step 1

If you've ever sterilized jars for future marinades and pickles, then you already have an idea of a water bath. The essence of the bath is to use two vessels of different sizes. Water is poured into the larger one, which is brought to a boil, and the second vessel is lowered into it.

Step 2

Choose a larger pot, fill it with water and put it on fire. Place a clean linen towel at the bottom of the pot (although some housewives do without it). If your stove heats up slowly, you can boil water in an electric kettle and then pour it into a saucepan.

Step 3

When the water is boiling, reduce the heat. Place a pot or a smaller saucepan with the food you want to heat in a water bath. The smaller the second pot, the better. It should not come into contact with the lower vessel in which there is boiling water. It will be optimal if a few centimeters remain to the sides of the pan. It would be best to use two pans, with the top resting on the lower handles. So their walls will not touch.

Step 4

Stir food occasionally to bring it to the desired temperature. Make sure that no water gets into the small saucepan - this can ruin the dish. The product in a water bath will heat up evenly, will not stick to the sides of the pan and its temperature will not rise above 100 degrees.
