Instructions
Step 1
Decorating a champagne bottle with your own hands begins with surface preparation. All labels on the sides must be removed. After that, you need to degrease the glass using any detergent.
Step 2
The entire surface of the bottle is painted with titanium white using a sponge. Before that, the top label and part of the foil casing must be protected with masking tape.
Step 3
It is necessary to carefully tear off a part of the decoupage card with your hands. The selected piece should contain the drawing or part of it that we need. Cutting the map with scissors makes it harder to hide the transitions between the artwork and the background.
Step 4
Use acrylic varnish to glue the drawing to the bottle. The varnish is applied directly to the surface of the decoupage card with a brush. You need to carefully move from the center of the picture to its edges, while straightening all the folds that form.
Step 5
With acrylic paint, you need to tint the background of the bottle, while entering the surface of the decoupage card. The paint is applied with a sponge. By changing the pressure you can change the intensity of the color.
Step 6
When the paint is dry, the bottle should be covered with several coats of acrylic varnish. With the help of special contours for glass, you can apply any inscriptions and patterns to the surface of the bottle.
Step 7
Finally, you can decorate the champagne bottle with a bow or other suitable accessory.
