Pregnancy is far from the easiest time for a woman. During this period, you need to carefully monitor what you eat and, moreover, drink, since you are responsible for the health of the unborn child.

Instructions

Step 1

During pregnancy, it is best to quench your thirst with clean water. Spring water tested by specialists, filtered, boiled or bottled water is ideal. It is better to refuse mineral soda water, as it contributes to excess gas formation, and mineral salts can put an undesirable burden on the kidneys, especially if you have a tendency to edema.

Step 2

Drinking a large amount of pure water becomes especially relevant after the fourth or fifth month of pregnancy, when water-salt metabolism is activated, and an increase in the total volume of fluid circulating in the body can lead to increased thirst. It is important to drink enough water throughout your pregnancy. If you get into the habit of always carrying a bottle of water with you and sipping it when necessary, your thirst will be much less pronounced.

Step 3

Pure water should be at least two-thirds of all liquid that enters the body. This may seem like a daunting task at first.

Step 4

In addition to water, you can drink a variety of fruit drinks and juices. Of course, it is best to use freshly squeezed, diluted juices rather than packaged juices. In winter, it is best to drink homemade drinks. They can be made from dried or frozen fruits, jams, preserves and compote. Such drinks are rich in microelements and vitamins, moreover, they do not contain preservatives.

Step 5

Herbal teas are another great drink to consume during pregnancy. It is worth giving up ready-made tea bags and brewing tea yourself from dry herbs, flowers, leaves and fruits. For a teaspoon of such mixtures, you need to take a glass of boiling water. Any herb that does not have an overly strong odor or unpleasant taste will work for making herbal tea. It is best to brew herbal teas from the leaves of strawberries, raspberries, currants, lingonberries, mint, willow tea, calendula and linden flowers. It is worth brewing these plants in their pure form, without mixing them with each other, so you can drink only those teas that you really like. If you do not want to drink a particular tea, you should not force yourself, since a sensitive pregnant body can signal in this way that this drink is not suitable for you.

Step 6

If the bulk of your drink is pure water, natural fruit drinks, juices and herbal teas, you can occasionally treat yourself to a less healthy, but favorite drink, such as coffee or cocoa, without harm to the body.
