It is necessary

  • - coffee beans;
  • - coffee grinder;
  • - mineral water;
  • - sugar;
  • - geyser coffee maker or cezve / turk.

Instructions

Step 1

Select the type of roast - light, medium, medium-dark, or dark. The darker the roast, the richer and richer the coffee tastes and the higher its price, but, surprisingly, the less caffeine in the beans.

Step 2

In order to brew a cup of black coffee in an oriental way, prepare a finely ground coffee, for a geyser coffee maker you need a medium grind. A drink brewed from freshly ground beans is tastier and more aromatic.

Step 3

Water quality is very important for coffee. Not only too hard chlorinated water will spoil the taste of the drink, but also, oddly enough, too pure, distilled water. Excellent coffee is obtained with oxygen-rich water, with a small amount of minerals. Use filters or use bottled mineral water.

Step 4

Oriental coffee, aka Turkish, Arabic, Armenian coffee, is brewed in a special narrow vessel, which can be called a Turk, cezva or ibrik. Depending on what kind of sweetness you want to brew the drink, the number of spoons of ground coffee per cup is also determined. For unsweetened, take 1 teaspoon per 60 ml cup, for medium-sweet coffee, take 1 teaspoon of coffee and sugar, for a sweet drink, take 1 teaspoon of coffee and 2 teaspoons of sugar, for extra sweet - 3 teaspoons of sugar and 2 teaspoons of ground coffee.

Step 5

Fill the cezvah with cold water and place over low heat. Stir the coffee and, if you are making a sweet drink, the sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until foam starts to rise. Remove the cezve from the heat and let the foam settle a little, heat up again until the "cap" begins to rise. Cool and repeat the operation. Remove from heat and pour into cups. This coffee is usually served with a glass of fresh cold water.

Step 6

To brew coffee with a geyser coffee maker, disassemble it. It consists of three parts - a lower bowl, a basket with a filter and an upper part with a handle and a spout. Fill the bottom with cold water, the water must not reach the steam valve. Place the filter in the bowl and pour the ground coffee into it all the way to the top, tamping down the powder from time to time. Secure the top.

Step 7

Set the coffee maker to medium heat. You can tell if the drink is ready by the way the coffee starts gurgling at the top of the mock.
