"Latte" is translated from Italian as "milk". In our understanding, latte means a hot drink based on coffee with the addition of milk and milk foam, which is easy to make at home.
It is necessary
8 grams of freshly ground coffee, 90-100 ml of milk
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare an espresso. Using a coffee machine, pour 8 grams of freshly ground coffee into the holder, then press it. Next, pass through the resulting tamped coffee 90 degrees water at a pressure of 9 bar. At the exit, you should get about 30-40 milliliters of the drink. Espresso can also be prepared in a coffee maker that has a special function for preparing this drink.
Step 2
Prepare milk. Warm it up a little, then use the cappuccinatore on the coffee machine to froth the milk until fluffy and airy. Once you've got a lingering froth, place the espresso, the resulting milk froth, and the latte glass on the table. It can be an Irish glass, or any other tall glass.
Step 3
Transfer the milk froth to a glass. Then gently and slowly pour the espresso into it in a thin stream. When prepared correctly, you will get a hot cocktail with clearly visible layers of coffee and milk, and the foam will be on top. Don't try to paint this foam as it is much more fluffy than cappuccino foam, perfect for latte art.
Step 4
Diversify your latte. Try adding coffee syrups or cinnamon to it. In this case, the syrup must also be poured in a thin stream. Blackcurrant or nut flavored syrup works best for this hot coffee cocktail. Sprinkle the cinnamon on top. Also latte can be made with alcoholic drinks - use amaretto or rum.
