Buckwheat is a very useful product for the human body. The dishes made from this unique cereal are not only tasty, but also nutritious enough. It gives strength during fasting days, and is also the basis of many diets. There are many buckwheat dishes. But one of them I would like to highlight especially - this is buckwheat in a merchant's way. It differs in that the cereals do not need to be boiled separately. Good option for lunch or dinner.

It is necessary

  • - unground buckwheat - 0.5 kg;
  • - minced meat (it is better to take pork and beef) - 0.5 kg;
  • - onions - 2 pcs.;
  • - small carrot - 1 pc.;
  • - tomato paste - 2 tbsp. l. without a slide;
  • - garlic - 2-3 cloves;
  • - sunflower oil for frying;
  • - ground black pepper;
  • - salt;
  • - a deep thick-walled frying pan or cauldron.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse buckwheat under running water. Pour 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil into a frying pan and heat it. Pour buckwheat there and fry for a few minutes until it is completely dry. After that, pour the cereals into a separate bowl.

Step 2

Peel the onions and carrots. Cut the onion into half rings. Carrots need to be chopped into small cubes, and you can also grate on a coarse grater - a matter of taste. Peel and chop the garlic cloves.

Step 3

Pour a few tablespoons of sunflower oil into a thick-walled skillet and put the minced meat in it. Fry it for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 4

Add the chopped onion and fry it along with the minced meat until transparent, and then toss in the carrots, stir and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then add tomato paste and cook with meat and vegetables for 3 minutes.

Step 5

Transfer the buckwheat to a skillet and pour boiling water over it so that it barely covers the entire contents of the pan. Add black pepper and salt to taste. And then reduce the temperature to a minimum and cover with a lid. Simmer until buckwheat is cooked.

Step 6

Chop chopped garlic into the finished dish. Mix everything and place on plates. Garnish each serving with chopped herbs - dill, parsley or green onions. Serve buckwheat like a merchant with a fresh salad or pickles.
