Lingonberries are healthy and tasty, both fresh and processed. From it you can make jam, fruit drink, marmalade or other options for blanks. In this form, the berry will be stored all winter, it can be served with tea or used to make pies, mousses, sauces.

Lingonberry with sugar

A very simple way of harvesting is to grind lingonberries with granulated sugar. All vitamins are preserved in the berry prepared in this way, because it is not subjected to heat treatment.

You will need:

- 1 kg of lingonberries;

- 1 kg of sugar.

If lingonberries seem too sweet to you, reduce the amount of sugar to 600 g.

Sort out the lingonberries and rinse thoroughly. Dry it on a towel and pass it through a meat grinder. You can also grind the berries in the food processor. Transfer the lingonberry puree to a bowl, cover with sugar and stir until the crystals are completely dissolved. Arrange the finished lingonberries in sterilized jars and roll up the lids. Store mashed berries in a cool place.

This recipe can be used to cook mashed cranberries.

Lingonberry with apples

You will need:

- 1 kg of lingonberries;

- 1 kg of sour apples;

- 3 glasses of sugar;

- 1 glass of water.

Wash and dry lingonberries and apples. Peel the apples, core them and cut the fruit into wedges. Place the lingonberries and apples in a bowl, add sugar and water. Simmer the mixture over low heat until the apples are tender. Pour the jam into sterilized jars, cool and cover.

Soaked lingonberries for the winter

Soaked lingonberries cooked with salt and sugar are very tasty. It can be served with fried meat, smoked meats, added to sauces.

You will need:

- 2 kg of lingonberries;

- 200 g of sugar;

- 2 liters of water;

- 1 teaspoon of salt;

- 1 stick of cinnamon;

- 4 carnation buds.

Instead of cinnamon and cloves for flavoring, you can add chopped fragrant apples to lingonberries - Antonovka or Ranet.

Sort out the lingonberries, discarding damaged berries and debris. Rinse the berries in several water, discard in a colander and pat dry on a towel.

Prepare a lingonberry filling. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar, salt, cloves and cinnamon. Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until the sugar is completely dissolved. Place the lingonberries in a glass or enamel container - a saucepan, jar, or bottle. Pour the prepared syrup over the berries and cover the container with a lid.

Soak the lingonberries at room temperature for a week. Then transfer it to a cool place and leave for at least a month. After that, the soaked lingonberries are ready to eat. It is better to store it in the refrigerator. Properly cooked berries do not lose their taste for up to 2 years.
