Ice for cocktails made at home is not always crystal clear, unlike ice in bars. Success lies not in any special equipment, but only in the process of preparing the product. But you won't be able to make transparent ice in a couple of minutes, so you need to prepare everything in advance, and not on the day of the party.

Step 1
You can use regular tap water or distilled water. If you take a cleaned one, you do not need to filter it additionally. Pass the tap through a filter to clean it from harmful impurities.
Step 2
Pour filtered water into a saucepan and boil for about 5 minutes. This is necessary to purify water from oxygen molecules, which give a cloudy hue to ice. Distilled water also needs to be boiled.
Step 3
Let the water cool and filter again. During the boiling process, large particles of mineral salts or rust could form in it, which spoil the appearance of the ice and affect the degree of transparency.
Step 4
Now boil the water well again and cool it to room temperature, then pour the liquid into the mold and you can put it in the freezer. Do not freeze hard ice and do not make large portions that you cannot use in 2-3 days. To remove ice from the mold, immerse it in warm water for 10-20 seconds and quickly shake the ice cubes into the container.
