Step 1
Chicken can be cooked either whole or in parts - it all depends on the number of people who want to taste boiled chicken meat or your appetite. It is preferable to cut the chicken into at least two halves - this way it will boil better, thoroughly clean all the insides and rinse under water. For lovers of exclusively certain parts of chicken, shops sell already cut thighs, breasts, drumsticks or fillets - choose whichever you prefer.
Step 2
Place chicken or chicken parts in a saucepan, fill with water until the pan is 3/4 full and put on fire. After a while, the water will begin to boil, and the foam (noise) will gradually rise upward. Armed with a slotted spoon - a special spoon with many holes - you need to remove all the noise. After the water begins to boil continuously, a pinch of salt should be thrown into the pan, as well as pre-peeled and washed onion heads and small carrots - vegetables will give the meat a special taste.
Step 3
From this point on, the chicken should be cooked for 20-40 minutes over low heat. The duration of cooking depends on how soft the meat will be in the end, and here again the question arises about your preferences - for someone the ideal of delicious chicken meat is elastic pulp, while someone likes fibers that are easily separated from the bone. The longer the meat is cooked, the softer it will be.
