Bananas can be used to make a wide variety of desserts, from fruit salads to pies. Try batter-fried bananas, another popular option. Such a dessert is often served in cafes, but it is not difficult to make it in your home kitchen.
Bananas with chocolate
A simple and delicious dessert - bananas in batter, complemented by chocolate sauce.
You will need:
- 3 bananas;
- 1 egg;
- 150 g wheat flour;
- 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil;
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla sugar;
- 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar;
- 1 tsp baking powder;
- 0.5 cups of milk;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of lemon juice;
- 50 g of dark chocolate without additives;
- 50 g of white chocolate.
Sift flour and combine with granulated sugar, vanilla sugar and baking powder. Beat milk with egg and vegetable oil and pour into flour mixture. Knead the dough - its consistency should resemble thick sour cream.
Cut the bananas into slices and drizzle with lemon juice. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet. Dip the banana pieces into the dough one by one, drain off the excess, and then fry them in oil, turning them over with a spatula. When the batter is uniformly golden in color, place the bananas on a plate lined with a paper towel to absorb the excess fat.
Melt dark and white chocolate in a water bath. Place the sautéed bananas on serving bowls and use a spoon to streak different colored chocolate onto the fruit. Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream can be served separately.
Instead of chocolate, the dessert can be garnished with berry sauce.
Bananas in coconut batter
Delicious fried bananas can be cooked not only on the stove, but also in a slow cooker. Diversify the recipe by adding coconut flakes to the batter.
You will need:
- 6 bananas;
- 100 ml of milk;
- 100 ml of cream;
- 6 tbsp. tablespoons of wheat flour;
- 2 tbsp. tablespoons of sugar;
- 2 eggs;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of coconut;
- butter for frying;
- powdered sugar for sprinkling.
For frying, choose strong, not overripe bananas - they will keep their shape better.
Prepare the batter. Combine milk and cream, add eggs, mashed with sugar. Stir in the sifted flour mixed with the coconut flakes. Stir the mixture thoroughly until it is completely homogeneous. Preheat the multicooker by turning it on in the "Fry" or "Baking" mode and adding butter to the bowl.
Cut the bananas into quarters. Dip each slice into the dough and place in the multicooker bowl. Roast the fruit for 5 minutes on each side. Bananas should take on a beautiful golden hue. Place them on a paper towel lined plate.
When the excess fat has been absorbed, transfer the bananas to warmed serving bowls and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Sour berry sauce can be served separately.
