A dessert like caramel apples will appeal to all sweets. Try this insanely delicious and very easy to make treat. Those close to you will surely appreciate your efforts.
It is necessary
- - small apples - 5-6 pcs.;
- - sugar - 200 g;
- - maple or corn syrup - 130 g;
- - water - 80 ml;
- - vegetable oil;
- - red food coloring - 2 drops.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut out the stem of thoroughly washed apples, then wipe them off with a paper towel. Insert a wooden skewer into the hole made so that the apple is held fairly firmly on it.
Step 2
Using a small saucepan, mix granulated sugar with water and corn or maple syrup in it. After bringing the resulting mixture to a boil, cook it over a fairly low heat for one quarter of an hour, that is, 15 minutes. When the time is up, add the dye as desired. It is very easy to check the readiness of the caramel: it should harden and crystallize if you drop it into a bowl filled with cold water.
Step 3
After removing the resulting caramel from the stove, dip the apples on skewers into it. Hold the fruit over this mass until the excess caramel is drained.
Step 4
Taking a flat cup, line it with special baking paper smeared with a little sunflower oil. Place caramel apples on this prepared surface.
Step 5
When the caramel on the fruit is completely frozen, you can safely serve this dessert to the table. The caramel apples are ready! If you wish, you can roll them, for example, in chopped nuts. Only this procedure should be done until the caramel has frozen.
