It is necessary

  • - puff pastry - 500 g;
  • - fresh or frozen cherries - 200 g;
  • - sugar - 5 tablespoons;
  • - starch - 4 teaspoons.

Instructions

Step 1

If you use frozen berries to make pies, then defrost them first. Then put the cherries in a separate bowl and cover with granulated sugar. Leave it like this for about 20-30 minutes. This is necessary in order for the berry to give juice. By the way, you can adjust the amount of sugar yourself, it all depends on your taste.

Step 2

Defrost the puff pastry, if necessary, then lightly knead it with your hands. Next, lay it out on a flat work surface and roll it out in such a way that you get a layer, the thickness of which is approximately equal to 3 millimeters.

Step 3

Divide the dough rolled into a layer into 8 identical rectangles. On each of them, lay out the berries sprinkled with sugar in an even layer. Sprinkle half a teaspoon of starch on top of the filling. Now sculpt the pies in the shape you want. By the way, they can be made not only closed, but also open.

Step 4

Place the sculpted patties a short distance apart on a baking sheet covered with special baking paper. Send them to the oven, which is preheated to a temperature of 180 degrees, and bake until the crust turns golden, that is, for 20 minutes.

Step 5

Remove sweet pastries from the oven and allow to cool down. Quick cherry pies are ready! You can serve them to the table.
