Instructions

Step 1

One of the most common pepper fillings in Russia is minced meat with rice. To prepare it, boil rice in salted water and cool. Chop the onion or chop in a blender, pass the garlic through a press. Combine with meat, add salt and spices. Knead the minced meat. Toss in the rice and fill the peppers.

Step 2

Instead of rice and minced meat, you can mix finely chopped potatoes or pumpkin. Peppers stuffed with minced meat and herbs also have an interesting juicy taste. Finely chop the pulp of beef or pork, chop the herbs, onion and garlic. Mix with meat, salt and pepper. Stuff the peppers with the resulting filling.

Step 3

For those who prefer vegetarian cuisine to meat, there is an original recipe for peppers stuffed with mushrooms and vegetables. Finely chop all ingredients. Fry the mushrooms in vegetable oil with one onion. In a separate skillet, sauté the second onion until golden brown, add the carrots and tomatoes to it. Season with salt and simmer until the juice evaporates. Then mix vegetables with mushrooms, season with garlic and spices. Let the filling cool slightly and stuff the peppers with it.

Step 4

Stuffed peppers are dipped vertically into a saucepan. Pour in water, meat broth or sauce. To prepare the sauce, first, shredded onions and carrots are fried in vegetable oil, seasoned with spices, and then the vegetables are stewed for several minutes in tomato juice or sour cream. After that, the peppers are placed in the sauce. If necessary, add a little water and cook for 30-40 minutes. Peppers will turn out no less tasty if they are baked in a sleeve in the oven.

Step 5

Seafood lovers will love the peppers and shrimps. Grill the peppers whole. Then peel off and remove the seeds. Boil the egg and chop it along with shrimp, garlic and herbs. Season with mayonnaise and fill the peppers. Serve as a snack.

Step 6

Another interesting filling to try is the fruit filling. Cut the apple and pear into quarters. Remove seeds and cores, then chop finely. Remove the seeds from the plums. Sort out the raisins. Combine the fruits and fill the peppers, previously cut in half, with them. Bake them in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20 minutes. Chop the mint, mix with sugar, add a little water. Simmer over low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Pour the syrup over the prepared peppers.
