It is no secret that cabbage dishes are popular in home cooking. And how can you resist its aroma and wonderful taste of healthy and hearty dishes made from it? Try to diversify your usual table and cook stewed cabbage with potatoes and chicken for lunch.
It is necessary
- - 1.5 kg of white cabbage,
- - 4 potatoes,
- - 2 chicken legs,
- - 1 tomato,
- - 1 carrot,
- - 1 onion,
- - 2 tbsp. spoons of ketchup,
- - salt to taste,
- - ground black pepper to taste,
- - 50 ml of sunflower oil,
- - 1 glass of water.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the chicken legs, dry, cut into pieces, pepper and salt to taste, fry in sunflower oil until golden brown. Chicken legs can be replaced with thighs or breast. Transfer the sautéed pieces of meat to a saucepan.
Step 2
Cut the peeled onion into half rings, fry in the same pan.
Step 3
Coarsely grate the peeled carrots. Add carrots to lightly fried onions, reduce heat to low (carrots should be stewed, not fried).
Step 4
Cut the tomato into small cubes, put in a pan with onions and carrots, salt and pepper. After the mass thickens a little, transfer it to a saucepan with the chicken.
Step 5
Peel the potatoes, rinse, cut into pieces, fry until crisp. Then transfer the potatoes to a saucepan with the meat and vegetables.
Step 6
Fry 2 tablespoons of ketchup in a pan, transfer to a saucepan. Pour in a glass of water and put on low heat.
Step 7
Chop the cabbage, then place it in the saucepan. If all the cabbage does not fit, then wait until it settles, then add the rest. Season with salt and pepper - optional, cover and simmer until cabbage is soft.
Step 8
Decorate the finished dish with chopped herbs and serve with a vegetable salad.
