Chicken baked with potatoes is a very simple and delicious dish. The chicken turns out appetizing and juicy, and the crispy potatoes are a great addition to it as a side dish.
It is necessary
-
- chicken - 1 piece;
- Caucasian adjika - 2-3 tablespoons;
- salt - 1 tablespoon;
- potatoes - 5-6 pieces;
- baking foil.
Instructions
Step 1
Rinse the chicken carcass thoroughly, let the water drain, blot with a dry clean cloth and rub with salt on the outside and inside. Then cover it with hot adjika on all sides, put it in a deep cup, cover with a lid, put it in the refrigerator and leave it overnight.
Step 2
Liberally grease the chicken with mayonnaise, carefully wrap in two layers of foil for baking, put on a baking sheet and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees. Bake for 1.5 hours.
Step 3
Then, without turning off the oven, take out the baking sheet, put it on the stove and open the foil. It is important that in the process of further baking, the chicken acquires a golden brown crust.
Step 4
Peel the potatoes, wash, cut into thick rings or cubes and place around the chicken on foil so that the juice does not run out onto the baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for another 30 minutes. There is no need to salt the potatoes, they will be perfectly saturated with the broth flowed out of the chicken.
Step 5
Serve hot baked chicken in adjika with potatoes.
Step 6
Prepare a light salad or fresh vegetables as a side dish with this dish.
