It is necessary

  • Pearl barley - 1 glass.
  • Water (I take filtered) - 1 glass.
  • Milk (preferably high fat) - 1 liter.
  • Cream - 100ml.
  • Butter - no more than 30 gr.
  • Sugar - preferably 1-2 tablespoons, but usually added to taste.
  • Salt - no more than 1 teaspoon.

Instructions

Step 1

First you need to pour 200 ml of pearl barley with a liter of water. Choose the products of the manufacturer you like. Pick up quality water as well. You can use boiled. The poured porridge is left for 12 hours. Experience has confirmed that it is left overnight.

Step 2

After the required time has passed, carefully drain the water, add 1 liter of milk to the cereal. We take 2 pans, such that one fits into the other. Now you need to bring the milk with cereals to a boil, the cooking time is 5 minutes. At the same time, we heat the water poured into a larger pan. Now you need to arrange the dishes so that you get the "water bath" process. Place the pot in the pot and then proceed to the cooking process.

Step 3

Reduce the heat from the moment the water boils in a large saucepan. Keep it to the minimum activity. Now cover the pan with the porridge with a lid and leave it alone for 3 hours. Do not forget to monitor the state of the gas. But usually the porridge that is cooked in this way does not burn and does not run away. Do not forget about the large saucepan - you will have to constantly add water to it. That is, the kettle will need to be constantly heated and boiled.

The finished porridge looks very special. She no longer resembles the usual barley. And the taste, of course, will be completely different.
