Step 1

We wash the barley until transparent. Fill with water and put on a small fire.

Step 2

When the water has practically boiled away, add milk. Salt, add sugar to taste. Cook over low heat.

Step 3

It is advisable to remove the porridge from the stove when the milk has not all boiled away. That is, the milk should be visible 1-2 centimeters above the porridge. We leave under a closed lid for ten to twenty minutes.

Another option for cooking barley porridge, which requires little effort and time. Multicooker.

It is very convenient to cook breakfast in a multicooker, at least for me. We wash the groats, put them in a bowl.

Fill with water and milk. Salt, add sugar if necessary. We set the desired cooking function (I have milk porridge, you can have cereal or just porridge) and put it on a delayed start.

Delayed start is the time after which the porridge will start to cook.
