By baking the fish whole, you will better preserve its taste. Fish is often baked in foil, dough or sauce, stuffed with spices, vegetables and other ingredients. The main thing is not to overdo it and not to drown out the natural aroma with all kinds of additives. For roasting whole, it is better to choose medium-sized fish. Baked cod, sardine, mackerel, crucian carp, sea bass, halibut, zuban, notothenia, merou, bluefish, butterfish, etc. are very tasty.

    • 4 pods of sweet pepper,
    • 3 tbsp tomato paste

    • salt

    • For trout in sour cream sauce with garnish:
    • 250 gr of fish
    • 50 g of vegetable oil
    • 15 grams of flour
    • 350 grams of potatoes.
    • 100 g of mushrooms
    • 250 gr sour cream,
    • 20 grams of cheese
    • 20 grams of butter
    • salt
    • pepper to taste.

Instructions

Step 1

Rinse the fish, remove offal, gills and fins. Grease a baking sheet or baking dish with vegetable oil. Put the fish in the middle of the baking sheet (or in a mold), stuff its belly with spices, lemon, salt and pepper. Grease with butter and place in an already preheated oven, bake at 200-250 degrees until tender. To season the baked fish with sauce, drain the juice from the baking dish into a saucepan, add lemon juice, butter, bring the sauce to a boil. With such a simple sauce, you can pour over the fish and, decorating with herbs, serve it to the table.

These are the basic principles by which any variety can be baked. But there are different recipes for different fish.

Step 2

Mackerel with sweet pepper.

This recipe can be used to cook tuna, sardine, mackerel.

Remove giblets, rinse fish. Remove the seeds from the bell peppers, wash and cut into thin strips. Fry the peppers in a skillet with vegetable oil. Stuff the fish belly with the prepared pepper. Pour tomato paste on the bottom of the baking sheet (or baking dish), put the stuffed fish on it. Top it with vegetable oil and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Bake in the oven until tender.

Ready to serve with a potato or vegetable side dish.

Step 3

Trout in sour cream sauce with garnish.

Gut the fish, season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip it gently in flour and sprinkle with vegetable oil. Place the fish in the middle of the baking sheet and place it in the preheated oven for a few minutes. Chop the potatoes and mushrooms and arrange them around the edges of the fish. Coat the fish with sour cream on top, sprinkle with cheese grated on a coarse grater, sprinkle with melted butter. Spread the remaining sour cream over the surface of the garnish. Bake until tender, serve with herbs.
