If you have ready-made meatballs, then this pie will take you no more than fifteen minutes to prepare, plus baking time. This is one of the virtues of this cake. In your free time, you make an unlimited number of meatballs and freeze them, and before dinner you take out 500 g of ready-made meatballs, fill it with dough and you have a warm fresh meat pie, no need to mess around with the filling. You can repeat it every day, you can repeat it once a week until you run out of meatballs.

Ingredients:

  • eggs - 3 pcs
  • flour - 150 g
  • sour cream - 250 g
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • salt - ½ teaspoon
  • cheese - 150 g
  • meatballs - 500 g

Cooking 1 kg of meatballs

Mix 800 g of any minced meat, 200 g of finely chopped onions or chopped in a blender with 1 egg and two slices of bread soaked in milk (can be replaced with 1/4 cup of bread crumbs). Mix everything thoroughly until smooth, form balls and use as directed or freeze, placing on a board, sprinkled with flour, so as not to stick together. Once frozen, the meatballs can be folded into one bag.

Making Meatball Pie:

  1. If the meatballs are frozen, then you need to get them out so that they defrost a little. If you just made them, then you need to refrigerate them to harden a little.
  2. Turn on the oven 180 degrees.
  3. Beat eggs, add sour cream, mix until smooth.
  4. Pour sifted flour mixed with baking powder and salt into the mixture. Knead the dough thoroughly. In consistency, it should be liquid, like pancakes.
  5. Pour the dough into a greased mold and press the meatballs into it close to each other.
  6. Grate the cheese and sprinkle it on the gaps between the meatballs.
  7. We put in the oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  8. We take out the finished meat pie with meatballs. Be sure to let the pie stand for a while so that it absorbs the juice released by the meatballs.

Serve a juicy meat pie with meatballs as an independent dish and as a main dish for a vegetable salad.
