Very soon the blossoming lilac flowers will fill the air with their aroma. And you can make the lilac bloom right now, just not on the bushes, but on your table, in the form of a cake. This cake is quite unusual - its cakes are located not along the surface of the cake, but across.

It is necessary

  • For the test:
  • - 6 eggs;
  • - a glass of sugar;
  • - 1, 5 glasses of flour;
  • - a pinch of citric acid;
  • - 3 tablespoons of spinach juice;
  • - a bag of baking powder;
  • - a bag of vanillin.
  • For the cream:
  • - 1, 2 liters of milk;
  • - 2 tablespoons of flour and starch;
  • - 1, 5 glasses of sugar;
  • - a bag of vanillin;
  • - coconut flakes;
  • - food colors of green, purple and yellow colors.

Instructions

Step 1

It is better to start cooking with custard. Mix all dry ingredients, i.e. flour, sugar, starch, and combine them with a little milk. Bring the rest of the milk to a boil and pour into the flour mixture. In a water bath, bring to a boil, constantly stirring the resulting cream. Remove from heat, season with vanilla and let cool.

Step 2

For the dough, you need to beat the eggs with citric acid, vanilla and sugar, and the sugar is gradually added in three equal parts. Pour spinach juice into the egg mixture and stir gently. Mix flour with baking powder and add to the resulting green mass. Stir very gently.

Step 3

Line two baking sheets with baking paper. Bake for about 15 minutes in an oven preheated to medium temperature, its temperature should be 180 degrees. Apply half of the cream to the baked cakes. Then cut each cake into longitudinal strips, assuming that the width of the strip is the height of the finished cake.

Step 4

The strips need to be wrapped in a roll, adding more and more strips to make one large roll. Place in a mold and refrigerate for at least five hours.

Step 5

Then remove the finished cake from the mold and trim its top with a sharp knife. Divide the remaining cream into four parts. Leave most of it white, and paint the other three in different colors. Cover the top and sides of the cake with white cream, and paint a branch of lilac with colored ones. Sprinkle the sides of the cake with coconut.
