An omelet is a simple yet highly nutritious breakfast or dinner dish. Combine it with cheese - spicy, bland or smoked - the taste of the dish will become even more expressive. Cheese can be added to the egg and milk mixture or to fill an already toasted omelet with it.
Omelet with cheese and herbs
This omelet can be made for breakfast. Any cheese is suitable for him - hard, processed, sausage.
You will need:
- 2 eggs;
- 100 g of cheese;
- 0.25 cups of cream;
- salt;
- freshly ground black pepper;
- a mixture of dry Provencal herbs;
- ghee for frying.
The omelet cream can be replaced with milk.
Beat eggs with cream and salt. Add a mixture of Provencal herbs, mix everything well. Heat the ghee in a deep frying pan and pour the egg and butter mixture over it. To make the omelet tasty and fluffy, the butter must be very hot. Fry the omelet, lifting the edges with a spatula to cook faster.
When the egg mixture is half set, sprinkle with grated cheese. Then fold the omelet in half so that the cheese is inside. Place the pan in an oven preheated to 160 ° C, and after 5-6 minutes, carefully transfer the omelet to a preheated plate. Sprinkle freshly ground black pepper over the dish and serve.
Omelet with cheese, croutons and sausages
You will need:
- 3 eggs;
- 2 tablespoons of milk;
- 2 slices of white bread;
- 100 g of cheese;
- butter for frying;
- 2 hunting sausages;
- freshly ground black pepper;
- salt;
- parsley.
Beat eggs with milk and salt, grate cheese. Heat the butter in a skillet, cut the bread into cubes and pour into the skillet. Stir with a spatula and brown the bread slices until crisp. Add the finely chopped hunting sausages to the skillet and cover with the egg mixture.
Fry the omelet until half cooked, making sure it does not burn. Pour the grated cheese into the skillet and cover the dish. Cut the finished omelet into portions, sprinkle with ground black pepper and garnish with parsley.
This omelet can be made vegetarian by replacing the sausages with fresh tomato slices.
Cannoli omelet
This beautiful and unusual dish is borrowed from Italian cuisine. The combination of two types of cheese - spicy Parmesan and tender mozzarella gives it a rich taste.
You will need:
- 3 eggs;
- 1 tbsp. a spoonful of wheat flour;
- 2 tbsp. spoons of milk;
- 300 g of spinach;
- 100 g of parmesan;
- 100 g mozzarella;
- 2 ripe tomatoes;
- 1 onion;
- 1 clove of garlic;
- marjoram;
- olive oil;
- salt;
- freshly ground black pepper.
Mix flour with milk, eggs, freshly ground black pepper and salt. Whisk the mixture until smooth. Take a small skillet, heat some olive oil on it and pour in a quarter of the egg mixture. Fry the omelet on both sides, and then make 3 more omelets in the same way.
Wash spinach, dry, chop finely. Chop the garlic, marjoram, add the grated Parmesan and stir in the spinach. Cut the mozzarella into 4 pieces. Roll each omelet into a cannoli tube, put a slice of mozzarella and a tablespoon of minced parmesan and herbs inside. Place the cannoli in the skillet.
Pour the tomatoes over with boiling water, remove the skin, chop the pulp with a mixer, lightly salt. Pour the stuffed omelets over the tomato puree and bake them in the hot oven for 20 minutes.
