Thin Crispy Potato Slices: It's hard to find a better beer snack or family crunch. But the chips sold in the store have very little to do with potatoes. There are a lot of preservatives, stabilizers, dyes and flavorings in them. There is more harm from these chips than pleasure and benefits. Therefore, it is best to cook the chips at home.
Instructions
Step 1
Take several medium sized potatoes of the same size and wash them well. You can peel off the skin if you like, but this is not necessary. Cut the potatoes into very thin slices. You can use a regular vegetable peeler to do this. For convenience, cut the potatoes in half. The whole potato can be grated on the appropriate side of a regular grater or with a Berner grater. Rinse the resulting slices under cold running water and place on a paper towel to remove excess moisture.

Take a deep bowl and transfer the potato slices to it. Add oils, salt and spices to taste. Stir and let stand for 5-10 minutes. From spices, you can use black pepper, paprika, a mixture of Provencal herbs, dried herbs, dried garlic and others. If the spice you bought is too coarse, grind it in a blender.
Step 3
If you're making chips for kids at home, you don't need to add oil, spices, and salt at all. However, the chips will turn out to be no less tasty. Place a sheet of parchment paper on a plate and arrange the slices in one or two layers.
Step 4
Place the plate in the microwave and set the required power and time. At 700 watts, the chips will cook for about 3-5 minutes. For the first time, watch how long it takes you. The chips are ready when a dark rim just starts to appear around the edges.
Step 5
Cooking time directly depends both on the thickness of the potato slices and on its variety, and on the characteristics of your microwave oven. If you take your chips out of the microwave too early, they won't crunch. In this case, you need to put them back in the oven and set additional time.
Step 6
In some cases, the chips will stick to the plate and are difficult to separate from the plate after cooking. To prevent this from happening, remove the chips from the microwave in the middle of the allotted time and turn them over to the other side.
Step 7
Chips should be eaten immediately after cooking. If they sit for 3-4 hours at room temperature, they will lose their flavor and will be less crispy.
