A delicious delicacy can be prepared at home, and from quite ordinary products. For example, these are Colombian cornmeal cakes. I suggest you make them.
It is necessary

- - pork fat - 125 g;
- - sugar - 180 g;
- - eggs - 3 pcs;
- - corn flour - 250 g;
- - wheat flour - 250 g;
- - vegetable oil - 2-3 tablespoons;
- - milk - 1 glass;
- - vanillin - a pinch.
Instructions
Step 1
Place butter, 150 grams of granulated sugar and lard in a saucepan. Put this mass on fire and melt. After this procedure, let it cool slightly, then add flour passed through a sieve and 2 eggs into it. Stir the mixture very thoroughly. Thus, you have formed a dough for future cakes. Cover it with either a towel or a napkin and leave it in the room for about an hour.
Step 2
After the time has elapsed, knead the dough a little, then pinch off a small piece from it, which is similar in size and shape to a chicken egg. It is more convenient to do this by first lubricating your palms with oil. In the center of the resulting shape, make a small notch with your finger. Then transfer it to a greased baking sheet. Do this with the whole test.
Step 3
In the oven, after heating it to a temperature of 170 degrees, send the future Colombian cakes to bake for about half an hour - they should be covered with a light golden crust.
Step 4
While the treat is baking, make the vanilla sauce. To do this, break the remaining egg and separate the white from the yolk. Combine the second with the remaining granulated sugar and beat thoroughly. Put the milk on the stove and bring to a boil. As soon as this happens, add it in small portions to the rest of the mass. Heat the resulting mixture in a water bath until it begins to thicken. Add vanillin there and mix.
Step 5
Spoon the chilled vanilla sauce over the chilled baked goods and spoon into the indentation made with your finger. Garnish with dried fruit if desired. Colombian cornmeal cakes are ready!
