The quality of food directly affects our well-being, performance and standard of living. When changing your diet in favor of a healthier one, you can resort to the opinion of reputable athletes, trainers or nutritionists. But here's the catch, they don't take into account the wallet capabilities of the average citizen of our country.

Water

Drinking bottled water from the store, salty or mineral, is bad for your wallet and sometimes health. The fact is that the minerals contained in such water are not in an organic (chelated) form. This means that the body cannot assimilate them, and as a result, it will be excreted through sweat and urine. The stress on the kidneys and water retention to dilute the salts will interfere with a high rate of healthy activity.

The next way out is to drink water purified at home on a good filter. It is several times cheaper, does not require transportation from the store home, and most importantly, it has a positive effect on your well-being. The only drawback is that you need to spend money on installing the filter at the beginning.

Juices

Store-bought pasteurized juices are almost useless. They add sugar and citric acid (which, by the way, is obtained not from lemons, but from fungi), sometimes, but less often, dyes, flavors and vitamins.

Freshly squeezed juices are the best supplier of active substances, antioxidants and vitamins. The main thing to know is don't drink a lot of sugary juices. The variety of juices is amazing, by combining different ingredients you can get special drinks. Useful additives include beets, ginger, hot peppers, herbs and various ground spices. Local fruits are very inexpensive during the season, and products such as cabbage, carrots and beets are generally affordable all year round.

Blanks for the winter

If you are not using your freezer to full capacity, then it is time to reconsider this decision. During the berry or fruit season, you can stock up on a small amount of healthy food for the future.

It is best to harvest pitted and peeled fruits, ready to eat and cook without further processing.

Diet planning

On days when you are working or on the road, take care of your future lunch or snack. If you don't take care of your stomach, it won't take care of your wallet. Besides the fact that you pay more for lunch at the cafe than you could, it is likely that you will also eat unhealthy dishes.

Preparing food at home and taking it with you in a food container is more than normal these days. People are often imbued with respect for those who look after their diet and take care of themselves.
